I'm using that already and I think many are doing it already.
It's quite an established plugin.

The fact that you'll get direct access to your feed management area is great.
I was tired of having to login to FeedBurner everytime I visited. The "remember me" option never worked for me.

Also, I dunno why, the whole FeedBurner site gives me a feeling of incompleteness or a feeling that "something is gonna' happen next moment" :P :P !!

I know, I've got weird associations with design, faces and music.

My main problem with FeedSmith is that it redirects ALL feeds. WordPress generates plenty of dynamic feeds - for example feed for posts with specific tag or posts by specific author. FeedSmith just redirects all of those to single main feed which is far from flexible.
